Description
This 1987 release of Chemical Invasion is nearly 38 years old and as it has been played on numerous occasions over the years it does show it's age. This version is the original pressing with a stickered barcode applied to the rear of the sleeve rather than a printed barcode.
Also included is a Tankard flag (3ft x 2.5ft) which has never been used and has only been taken out of the bag for the photo.
The outer sleeve is in a Good plus condition with no splits on the seams or spine. There is minor scuffing to the corners and a small water mark to the rear bottom left (see picture). There is nothing majorly wrong with it, it just feels well used and a bit tired.
The inner sleeve is in a Good condition as this does have a fair few signs of handling and use. The paper it is printed on is very thin so two of the seams have small splits, these haven't been taped back together. To the top of the inner is a small brown mark of some description (see picture). It does have the feel of a well used album.
The vinyl is in a Fair (F) condition as it has developed a skip on track one of side two. There is also the usual low crackle on some of the silent parts that is common with vinyl this age. Visually there are numerous light hairlines to both sides of the vinyl and groovewear is clearly visible on track one of side two which is where it skips (the attached clip features the skip at about 25 seconds in). A small 1cm scratch is visible across track one and two of side one though this has no affect on the playing of the vinyl.
Overall this well used 35+ year old album does show it's age but still performs fine if you can overlook the skip. This is a great chance for anyone who is building up their collection with original releases to own this early Tankard release at a reasonable price.
