Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto Curzon UK Decca SXL
This famous early stereo recording dates from 1959. Clifford Curzon with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Georg Solti performs the Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto No. 1. An English stereo pressing on the Decca Label (SXL 2114 stampers 2E/1D), the labels are black with silver lettering, Full Frequency Stereophonic Sounds "fatband" and logo, original recording by… at 10 o’clock and a groove. The record is of as new appearance plays and sounds superb (stunning recording) with a minimum of surface noise. The cover has rubbed a little with a ring and has cut-outs out of the fold-overs and a blue ffss border on the back.
