Description
Here is a really rare original first pressing and hard to find Jazz LP from 1957. It is titled Free Wheeling and is on Vanguard VRS-8515 and is by The Ted Brown Sextet featuring Warne Marsh and Art Pepper. Labels are maroon with silver print and are deepgrooved. There is a knight on a horse above the title Free Wheeling. The Vinyl on Side Two is VG++. I played it and heard no surface noise at all. The Vinyl on Side One is VG+. There are several small scratches that do not skip and sound only briefly however if you want a Mint or Near Mint copy of this LP do not bid on this. I played it all the way through on both sides and Side Two played VG++ or better to me. Audiophiles please do not bid if you want a Mint or Near Mint LP. This is VG+ on side one with light surface noise in spots. However since most of the music is loud you do not hear it. Only on the third and fourth tracks on Side One did I hear some pops and they were few. Side One ends with a swinging tune that plays without any problem whatsoever. So I have tried to describe this the best I can. If you want a pure clean Mint LP this is not it. If you want a nice copy that plays better than it looks this this is for you. Ronnie Ball is on piano. Ben Tucker on Bass and Jeff Morton on drums. So it is mainly tracks 3 and 4 on Side One that have some surface noise. All the rest played fine for me. Little or no surface noise. And 3 and 4 are not that bad either just not for those who demand a Mint or Near Mint Record. Call Side 2 VG++ and Side One VG+. The Cover is VG++. No problems. Buyer to pay 4.00 for S&H in the U.S.A. More Overseas. Check out my other listings now on Ebay for some more interesting Jazz LPS. Remember Side Two is VG++ and Side one is VG+ but plays better than it looks.Vanguard made good vinyl so this plays very well.
