Terry Riley – A Rainbow In Curved Air 1969 US Columbia 'Tip On' First Electronic, Classical
This release is the 1969 first pressing with gray Columbia Masterworks 360 Sound Stereo labels and white two eye logos.
The unlaminated custom printed thick card 'tip on' sleeve would certainly conservatively grade as VG. There is some storage wear around the corners and some ring-wear. The spine, which is readable, is not pinched. 'Tip On' = an old-style sleeve where the the cover art is not printed directly on the surface of the cardboard sleeve, but instead is printed on an outer layer of paper.
The original inner shows some age discolouration but is undamaged. Graded as EX.
The vinyl is, without doubt, NM and has not been played many times - if at all. The grey Columbia Masterworks labels are clean and unmarked. On play grading today there was some minimal static on the run in but nothing substantial, maybe a rare pop or click but certainly nothing to spoil the enjoyment of the record - even at high volume. The album plays superbly with very strong audio. The surfaces are very clean, glossy and shiny, no noticeable marks. This is a great copy which grades as NM!!
