Description
For sale is Terry Riley's In C, originally released in 1968 by Columbia Masterworks, in a gate-fold presentation. In the dead wax between the label and the last track are the matrix numbers 2-C/2-A, signifying that this is an early pressing with sound quality that is extraordinary. I bought this new and played it carefully on a reference quality turntable and cartridge. One of the first things I do with a new purchase is that I immediately put the album into a protective inner sleeve like a MFSL or its equivalent. Doing this protects the integrity of the original inner sleeve and/or inserts. There is no original inner sleeve with this listing . The cover is Near Mint. The spine is Near Mint. The vinyl is Near Mint. I have not seen or heard a better copy that this. You would be hard pressed to find one in this condition, being that it is very rare. This would make a great addition to anyone's collection. I have more avant-garde albums, as well as records of all genres in my Ebay store. Please take a look, as they're all in Near Mint condition. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative.
