Description

This is a white label, 180gm test pressing, black vinyl copy of "Makin' Movies", the third album by Dire Straits (SVLP 147), re-issued in 1999 on the Simply Vinyl record label. It comes housed in a custom sleeve, with the catalogue number hand written on the front.

It is my understanding that there are only 10 test pressings ever made of each record and that they are only given to the label and mastering facility for quality control purposes. Some are then sent to shops as promotional copies. I won this record in a competition in some long defunct record collector magazine.

It has never been played and has only been taken out of its paper sleeve for me to take the photograph you see above.
