Description
Original deep-groove "ear" pressing of Thad Jones The Magnficent on the West 63rd Street, New York 23 labels of Blue Note BLP 1546. The flat rim playing surface is in near-new condition; perhaps played once or twice; some foxing to the labels. The original cover has a West 63rd Street address on the back slick and is non-laminated, issued between the last gakabuchi covers and the transition to laminated covers that begins with BLP 1547: it is in amazing condition - bright and clean throughout - with only the very slightest signs of shelf wear, i.e mint artwork with NO ring wear of any kind.
Personnel includes Gigi Gryce, Tommy Flanagan, and Elvin Jones.
