Description
Offering up for bid an original "5" Royales copy of "Dedicated To You on King 580. This is one of the all-time great R&B records and it doesn't pop up for sale every day. As with many of these tick-slab King records, it plays much better than it looks. Bands A1 & B1 have surface noise (likely to improve with a professional cleaner--I don't have), but the pops & crackles quickly dissipate. You will notice by the 2nd or 3rd song on each side that any surface noise that there may be is nearly imperceptible. I played this through on my Fisher tube hi-fi system and it's inspirational! The spine is ok, though the cover has done its job: top & bottom completely split. Thanks for looking; kindly email me with any questions or concerns that you may have.
On Oct-06-12 at 05:17:58 PDT, seller added the following information:Ive had a few requests to assign a specific grade to this record's condition. In terms of listening experience, both sides are similar in that they start out at VG- but improve to VG+ by the time the tonearm advances to the second or third track. Sorry for the typos in the description--I evidently neglected to proofread what I'd written before hitting the "list it now" button.
