Description
I purchased a stack of records from the estate of an old guy who was an audiophile. He had a vintage McIntosh stereo he played them on, (yeah I purchased that too). Some of his albums are in new, still factory sealed condition, apparently untouched for almost 50 years. Pretty cool.
This album is: The Animals, Animalization in New Factory Sealed Condition. The front reference number is SE-4384. The rear reference number is E/SE-4384. it's in Stereo, and put out by MGM RECORDS. Says MGM in black on the spine (as well as the title and reference number in white). I'm not expert on the various nuances between"Original pressing" and "First pressing" etc., so even though I believe this album is an original 1960's vintage I don't know enough about the categorization system to know if this is some super rare first pressing or just a regular still factory sealed vintage album. I don't believe it is any kind of re-issue but I'm not an expert so feel free to double check on original pressing dot com or something. I'll be happy to answer any questions that you may have in regards to this issue. Even though it's sealed the corners show a little wear and/or bending especially where the cellophane has broken/worn through on the corners. Front cover has a partial "ring mark" from where the edge of the record is, and a little area of dust or something that seems to be stuck to the inside of the cellophane (in the left side of the dark blue area). Rear cover has the same partial ring mark as well as some horizontal scrapes across the back that managed to happen even though the cellophane is still sealed as well as some dirt/scrape marks near the right side edge. Lastly there is an "S" punched into the left rear cover-maybe this was some sort of promo album or something, I don't know. If you have any questions please feel free to ask before you bid, thanks!
