The Apostles – The Apostles - S/T Vinyl Record LP 1976 Nigerian Funk.
This is a pretty well-worn copy of a classic album from The Apostles.
The sleeve is hugely discoloured and has a lot of wear. A complete seam split along the spine (which has been taped internally to hold the record) and general creasing and rubbing are the main issues, see images for a better idea. Would grade this as 'Fair', as the sleeve is still complete (no chunks missing) but has severe deterioration.
The record is in a similarly worn state to the sleeve, lots of scratches and marks on the disc cause a constant background crackle behind the music. This has been cleaned on a RCM but could probably benefit from a couple more sessions, would likely help the audio somewhat. I have played through both sides and didn't hear any skips or jumps, but it's very possible due to the condition of the disc. Would grade as 'Good', although there are some sections that play more like 'Good+'
The music is definitely still audible throughout, even during quieter passages, but this is by no means a clean listening experience. Let me know if you have any questions.
