Vinyl Audio Grade & Date of Playtest: Good (Quite a sharp and clear sound, there is some quite noticeable audible background crackle throughout the tracks, there is some quite noticeable background noise in between tracks, no skips, no jumps, no sticking, there are some quite noticeable audible pops and clicks that are quite frequent throughout the entire record. Good sound quality (Playtested 11th December 2008)

Vinyl Visual Grade: Good (Looks very well played with lots and lots of light superficial hairline surface marks covering the record, there are also 8 or 9 more feelable small hairline scratches/marks on the record and these affect playback by causing some of the pops/clicks mentioned above, there are lots of spindle marks on the label which indicates numerous plays but the labels have no rips or tears on them, there is some wear around the spindle holes, there is no pen marks/writing on the label though, visually this record is not in the best of shape but it plays right through with no skips or jumps and the sound is reasonably clear so if you want this in your collection and don't want to fork out lots of money for a mint copy then maybe this is for you)

Album Cover Grade: Fair (some very bad creasing to all the front corners, some very bad creasing to all four of the rear corners, no major spine splits, a partially legible spine, no top edge splits, no bottom edge splits, some noticeable rubbing/wear to the spine and the top and bottom edges, there were 3 or 4 small rips/tears in the sleeve but all have been repaired from the inside so you can hardly tell, some corner rubbing, some very noticeable ringwear on the front and back, there is no writing on the sleeve, there is some slight laminate lifting around the creasing on the front corners and also some laminate peeling on the rear sleeve parallel to the spine, the sleeve suffers from some quite bad discolouration and staining on the rear unlaminated sleeve and is quite dirty, once again this sleeve as with the record is not in the best of shape but as said above if you don't want to fork out lots of money for a mint copy then maybe this is for you)

All records are graded in complete honesty and with the utmost scrutiny. All records listed have been playtested by me and will not jump, stick, or skip in any way. I have been collecting records now for approximately 12 years and have amassed quite a collection and have decided now is the time to reduce the collection in size. The quality of items listed generally varies but most of the time will be in Excellent condition or thereabouts. If it higher or lower than Excellent then it will be mentioned in full detail in the grading section above. Most of the records that will be listed will be from the 1950's, 1960's and early 1970s. The genre's will vary from prog rock, soul, reggae, rock n roll, beat, pop, psych. I will not be offering any classical records for sale though. I have some huge rarities in my collection and all will be up for sale at some point in the next year or so. MINT

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD

The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD

The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR

The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR

The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD

The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
