The B-52's "Cosmic Thing," released in 1989 was their fifth studio album and a major comeback after the death of guitarist Ricky Wilson in 1985. The album was produced by Nile Rodgers and Don Was and is considered their most commercially successful to date.

Featuring the hit singles "Love Shack" and "Roam" it peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200, and achieved 4x Platinum status in the US. Cosmic Thing marked a shift towards a more pop-oriented sound while retaining the band's signature style. The B-52’s won the award for Best Group Video at the 1990 MTV Video Music Awards for "Love Shack". Celebrate its upbeat and danceable tracks, its a party favorite.
