The B-52's Cosmic Thing
description detailsThe B-52s formed as a student band and got their name from Cindy Wilson and Kate Pierson's extremely teased hair, which bore a close resemblance to the nose of the airplanes of the same name. The 1989 album Cosmic Thing was the band's biggest commercial success - and also their comeback album after the death of band member Ricky Wilson. Chart hits Cosmic Thing, Love Shack and Roam are still played to this day.
However, music critics agree that Deadbeat Club, an unusually reflective song for a dance album, is the most important number on this album. The B-52s have never claimed to produce great music, and Cosmic Thing is not known for outstanding arrangements, but for their ability to spread a good mood and draw even the wearyest of clubbers onto the dance floor.
about us
The year we were founded in 1998 - long after vinyl was declared dead and long before vinyl was hailed as cool again - proves that we are real vinyl nerds. We only started out as a small record dealer from home. Later we opened our first real record shop and then of course our own online shop. Everything with passion and always with the motto: SAVE THE VINYL. What is not available online is available in our Übersee store, Frühlingsweg 22. Overseas? Yes. Übersee Am Chiemsee. Right on the A8 autobahn, between Munich and Salzburg. Here you will also find a fine range of second-hand vinyl. We also have a large selection of equipment from many manufacturers. Simply everything you need for everything to do with vinyl...
