ABBEY ROAD UK - 1st PRESSING - 1969
AUCTION ONLY - HIGHEST BID WINS - THANK YOU
Please note: Depending upon where you live, ebay might automatically add import duty to your winning bid.
If you are in a hurry, here is a quick summary: Disc delivers excellent sound
If you have more time, a detailed description follows, where you'll find my honest appraisal of every item but please bear in mind that vinyl records were bought to be played, not put away in a cupboard. I offer original Beatles U.K. pressings, now between fifty and sixty years old, in excellent, collectible condition but they have been played and therefore, will never be mint. THE DISC
Matrices: 2/1 Stampers: 1-AM / 7-LL
AUDIO - EX+/EX
Plays perfectly. Near silent run-ins/outs. Not a single 'pop' anywhere; even during the twenty second break before 'Her Majesty'. Just a touch of static noise in a few places, which is inevitable on used vinyl. Audio quality is sublime throughout. One of the best copies I have ever had, for sound. If you are looking for a final audio upgrade, then this copy will deliver.
VISUALLY - VG/VG+
The vinyl surfaces do carry handling lines and marks. The best way that I can describe the disc, visually, is to say that you would not expect it to deliver the perfect audio that it does. I'm being quite harsh here, as it is still as good as you might reasonably expect from an original copy. =====================================================================================
THE COVER - VG+
A solid example, with no major problems. Just some mild perimeter wrinkles and a few crescent thumb bends. As a first issue, it has the unique feature of the oversized front panel, which is curved, top and bottom. If you look at the first photo, you can see the light reflected along the top edge, where it curves downwards. This is also visible in the photo which shows the opening edges. The thin spine is mint.

THE INNER SLEEVE - EX
Original, single die-cut inner. Ridiculously fragile, made from thin paper. I have graded this one as excellent because although it is not perfect, it is so hard to find one this good. There are NO seam splits and the hole is near perfect.

The photos are of the actual item. I always use professional, anti-static, cleaning fluid and listen to the whole disc. Professional mailers are always used.
I will be listing more Beatles records, so please have a look
