The BEATLES Beatles For Sale PMC 1240
RARE 1982 MONO repressing by EMI .
In 1982 EMI decided to repress all the Beatles LPs in mono after ceasing mono pressing in the late 1960s. These were done in relatively small numbers and rarely surface for sale. BEATLES FOR SALE is an excellent copy. Brilliant, clear audio, hardly any background noise. Visually superb too. EXCELLENT audio and visual vinyl.
The labels were designed using the classic black/yellow 60’s design with ‘MONO’ actually printed on teach side (unlike any 60s labels). These labels are brilliantly clean with virtually no spindle trails.
The original Beatles For Sale cover was a fragile thing easily split and worn especially on the spine. This (unlaminated) one is very good and has some crease lines on the front and slight corner wear. The spine is still clear and intact. The original EMI ‘Care of Your Record’ white inner sleeve is near perfect.
