Description

Just recently I bought a massive collection of 60's and 70's LPs...some are in surprisingly immaculate condition, and some are not, but the original owner (a well-respected Australian vinyl hoarder) was a fastidious collector of the styles he loved - 60's punk/garage, British invasion well-knowns [Beatles/Hollies/Dave Clark 5/Gerry & The Pacemakers/Zombies/Troggs/etc..], 70's West Coast sounds, pop-psych and he'd obviously forraged far and wide since there's a flurry of unique South American, New Zealand,Taiwanese, South African, Japanese releases amongst them all.

Here then, is one of the LPs from his collection:

ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING?:    Yes, it is...with matt flipback cover...mono and stereo catalogue numbers on back at top right...with black, yellow and white labels (with silver overprinting). Even rarer is the fact it has an original promo sticker still attached to the Side One label (all Australian 60's Beatles promo LP's were discerned by this red and white 'bullet' sticker. Lennon-McCartney compositions credited to Leeds Music (later issues were Northern Songs).

CONDITION:

COVER: ( VG+ )...has only the very lightest beginnings of ringwear (this cover lent itself to bad ringwear, but not this one...amazing!)...plus some light stains on the front (see pix)...clear tape on spine, and some scuffing on the opening edge, with some mild creasing in the bottom right corner....otherwise it's in remarkable condition...

RECORD: ( VG+ )...has a few light marks, but nothing heavy at all...and plays very well...with some light crackles and pops...

LABELS: (Side One: EX- / Side Two: EX- )...light sticker stain on Side One label...
