Record Label & #: Apple PCSP 718
Condition: Cover is NM, light wear, tight seams. Records are a nice glossy NM/NM/NM/NM.
Comments: Not the recent remastered digital version(no bar code). Comes with red lyric printed inner sleeves. This one has me puzzled. U.K. Beatles discographies say the red vinyl version of this lp was released in 1978 with the number PCSPR 718. However no where on this LP is that number. The labels and cover have the cataloge numbers of the 1973 release(see photos). This LP comes from the collection of a person that collected colored vinyl. He did not play his LP's, and this one appears to be unplayed!
"In 1973 E.M.I. (under the Apple banner) released two double albums of the "Best" of The Beatles, The Beatles 1962-1966 and The Beatles 1967-1970.
The package of this release has the catalogue number PCSP 718, but the two albums are individually numbered as PCS 7181 and PCS 7182, which actually fits in with the Parlophone numbering of the time." Beatles Discography
