Description
The BEATLES VERY RARE ‘SILVER STEREO’ LP PCS 3075. Condition is Used. Dispatched with Royal Mail 1st Class, or internationally.
The ‘jewel in the crown’ of this Rubber Soul LP is the mega-rare Silver Stereo cover produced in small numbers apparently for the US export market. Very few had the black stereo logo, even fewer the silver ‘stereo’ logo in the top right hand corner of the front cover.
The spine is clear and legible, the Garrod and Lofthouse front laminated cover bright. The colours on this front cover are sharp, the rear cover contrast less so. The corners are worn to some degree and there are some minor wrinkles to the front laminate, with a slight crease and minor ringwear. The cover is fully intact with no tears; there is a name and initial on the rear cover. The famous loose thread on John Lennon’s jacket is airbrushed out in this version,
Overall the sleeve is in Good/Very Good condition, using the Record Collector Price Guide definition.
The record itself (YEX 178-3, YEX 179-3) plays through with crackling and a warp on the record on the outer tracks. Not for the audiophile collector. Poor/Fair condition.To all intents and purposes it’s the rare sleeve not the record that is definitely the element to make a bid on.
