This is the incredibly rare original 1965 45 rpm release by The The Barons "Try A Love With Me", and the Monster Cool "Don't Come Back No More" on the Jafes label, an offshoot of the famous Fenton label of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and pressed at the same Owosso Mi record plant. I am selling this for a buddy who went to Creston High School, with lead singer Dave Marquette.Barons Manager Jim Kemp personally presented him with three copies(incidently, that is manager Kemp's writing on the "Try A Love" side label as you can see in the photo, which adds to the provenance of the disc.) There were only 500 of these pressed all of which only a hand full I beleive were trashed, they very rarely come up for sale. The vinyl is very clean, only played very sparingly, and it play grades at a very strong vg++. The paper sleeve is original as well."Don't come back" was originally to be the "A" side, but by the time "Try A Love" was written, they went with it as the top side. Interestingly, "Don't Come Back" was recorded by Kemp on a brand new reel of Scotch Brand Recording Tape, but "Try a Love" he recorded on an oft used tape, which resulted in a couple of minor audio drop-outs in that particular song. There is a reasonable reserve on this record considering it's rarity, and documented sale of a previous copy that turned up some time ago.
