Description

An original 1966 1st UK press on Capitol in MONO. Matrix 1/1. Stampers 1T/1GM - nice and early! Please note the labels mention the 'Sold In The UK' statement - this must be present for a genuine 1st press. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original mono flipback cover. We also have the original Emitex inner sleeve. So, we're 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In excellent condition and only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks per side - nothing heavy or nasty looking. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT with just one slight deviation. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Like I said above - no audio trickery in the mix here..this PS in true mono direct from those mid-sixties masters. And surely - that's gotta be the best way right? Really nice clean audio throughout - and you're going to need that particularly on a fussy delicate title. Each track delivered with deft and accuracy - you can hear well into the mix. Little to turn your nose up at. Maybe a few crackles in one brief isolated spot per side. A couple of minor brief ticks in 'Don't Talk'. But that was really all I could pick out. A very fine player delivering this sixties classic with maximum effect.
Cover (Ex-) Usually the original covers surface looking pretty knackered. But every now and again one travels through time and has survived in impeccable condition. A few light creases on the front but colours are reproduced well. The rear is looking sweat and has practically avoided the ageing process [which is unusual]. Don't miss the signature written neatly top left. Flipbacks all intact and secure. Very little edge wear and the spine is 100% intact.
