Description
Own a rarer pressing of what is (in my opinion) the greatest album of all time, in mono! The vast majority of Pet Sounds original LA pressings you’ll see will have either a 3 or 6 next to the RIAA logo on the bottom right corner of the back of the corner. This is one of the rare specimens that comes with a 9, a number usually reserved for Jacksonville pressings.
Disc: VG-. Vinyl has been ultrasonically cleaned and shines like new. There are a number of hairlines and marks on both sides, and a larger mark on side A can be felt with a finger.. Spindle holes look fine. There is a name tag on Side A that has only a cosmetic effect. In my opinion, it adds character. It reminds one that all records have a unique history and have often passed through many hands before finally reaching their current owner. Disc has only been visually graded, looks like it might play with noise or crackling.
Outer cover: VG+. Sharp corners. Seams in good shape. Moderate foxing. No bumps or creases. Minor ring wear. No rips or tears. Colors preserved nicely. Another name tag on the top right corner of front.
Original inner sleeve included in pristine condition, still a beautiful vibrant orange!

Runout side B: T2-2458-F17 0
The asterisk symbol in the side A runout indicates that this comes from Capitol’s Los Angeles pressing plant (which reputedly had the best sounding pressings due to being the plant closest to the master tapes. The lacquers didn’t suffer any of the wear and tear that comes with cross country travel)
