The Beal Beatles Let It Be Box 1st pressing red apple logo
This is a very fine example of this classic album box edition. The red apple logo proves it is one of the earliest copies. Released in 1970, this is a FIRST pressing, and the album plays perfectly. The matrix numbers are Side One YEX 773-2U and Side 2 YEX 774 2U
BOX
The box is in generally very good condition with some creasing acquired over the last 49 years. Please see photos which show all creases etc. The booklet is still in its plastic wrapper and looks not to have been opened, it has one small rubbing mark on the bottom of the spine.
ALBUM
First pressing, May 8, 1970. Catalog number PCS 7096. Dark green label with an image of an apple on side 1 and sliced apple on side 2. First label variation have “An E.M.I. Recording” text on two lines and small “33 1/3”. Publishing year printed with small copyright symbol (p). Full laminated covers have a red Apple logo on the back. Matrix numbers: Side 1: YEX 773-2U; Side 2: YEX 774-2U.
The labels are in excellent condition with just one small blemish above the apple on side one and clean on side 2 - no spindle marks so probably only played a few times.
Listening test: Both sides play excellently with no pops or jumps and only very minor hiss in quiet passages or between tracks as with any LP of this age.
