? ? ?

Rare copy of A Collection of Beatles Oldies pressed in Mono (Only UK) on the black-yellow Parlophone labels. I've never seen an export edition of this issue. This Mono copy has all of the characteristics of a very early 1st pressing, but it doesn't have the "KT" tax code which reflected the tax rate inside the UK and was present on the labels of the copies being sold domestically, but wasn't used on the copies indented for export. 1st print wrap-around laminated cover with the "Printed and made  by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. Patents pending PMC 7016 PCS 7016" and round-cut corners on the back remains in the original shrink wrap. The catalog number PMC 7016 in the upper right hand corner on the back cover. 1st print cover with a photo on the back flipped horizontally. The clue is on Paul's kimono as the lettering "KOTOBUKI" is written backwards. The Japanese issue of the LP has the correct photo. Early 1st print Parlophone labels on this copy are different from the repressings as the catalog number PMC 7016 is written in a large font and not a small one as on the reissues in addition to having the "SOLD IN U.K. SUBJECT TO RESALE PRICE CONDITIONS, SEE PRICE LISTS" statement at the center of the labels. The runout shows the following very early matrix numbers and mother master stampers with the "1" index: Side-1: XEX 619 - 1G   1  AHG ; Side-2: XEX 620 - 1G   1  GDP. The beautiful glossy vinyl is graded as Excellent Minus, only just a couple of light hairlines and scuffs from the original pink-white paper inner sleeve "EMI The Greatest Recording Organization in the World" with the releases by the other EMI Records artists that comes with the album. The vinyl sounds amazing with a soft clear Mono sound and doesn't have any pops, clicks or skips. The labels are Near Mint Minus. The cover is graded as Near Mint Minus with the original shrink wrap having a light shelf wear.
