This superb 1-play, 1st UK MONO pressing dates from 1967 on the yellow & black Parlophone label: PCS 7016

Both labels have the 'Sold in UK...' text with 'The Gramophone Co...' worded rims.


Matrix numbers: XEX 619-1G & XEX 620-1G

Stamper codes: 5/GAG & 5/GGH

Vinyl weight: 143g


Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed mono cover.

Complete with its original red & white EMI advertising inner-sleeve.


CONDITION

Labels: NEAR MINT

A perfect pair with just a single spindle mark from the factory around the side 2 centre hole only.
The two tiny marks on the side 2 label in the 2 'o clock position are smudges of silver printing ink from manufacture and not scratches.

Visual: NEAR MINT

Factory-fresh, deep-gloss playing surfaces which are 'as new' in strong daylight,with just a few harmless wispy paper hairlines form the inner-sleeve visible on side 1 when viewed beneath halogen light.

Sound Quality: NEAR MINT

Played no more than once, this great sounding copy plays clean & clearly with no traces of any groove/playwear distortion, even on the 1st chord of 'I Feel Fine'. Our careful play-check at volume detected a couple of faint ticks on 'Michelle' & 'Yesterday' but apart from that, it is flawless.

Cover: NEAR MINT

A strong & vibrant example with a superb high-gloss front panel bearing just a hint of storage but no 'thumbnail' wrinkles or creasing.
All corners are sharp & just a 3cm section of minor wear to the rear opening edge which are otherwise 'as new'.
The exposed rear panel is pristine clean & white where it should be with no ring-wear, writing or missing paper.
Both seams are smooth & unstressed and the spine undamaged and fully worded.
