Item Description/Condition:
A HIGHLY collectible example of The Beatles FIRST ISSUE UK Apple Vinyl LP, 'ABBEY ROAD', released by EMI/Apple records on 26th September 1969 on the Custom DARK GREEN APPLE label, with 'Apple Records' label rim , 'Mfd in UK' label text and **WITH**Her Majesty’ credited to the side 2 record label. The ORIGINAL Garrod & Lofthouse fully laminated sleeve features the correct ALIGNED Apple logo to the reverse of the sleeve.
Both sides of the Dark Green Record Labels are in superb Mint Minus condition, an UNDAMAGED, BRIGHT and CLEAN Set of record labels, with no more than a couple of faint centre spindle lines on each label. The song title Her Majesty can be seen at the bottom of the track listing on the side 2 record label.
Both sides of the HEAVYWEIGHT Vinyl Disc are in beautiful Mint Minus condition, very BRIGHT and glossy well cared for vinyl surfaces which are hard to fault, a superb example of this classic album.
The Official stamped matrices are: Side 1 Matrix YEX 749-2 and Side 2 Matrix YEX 750-1.
Side 1 stampers: 3 POA, and Side 2 stampers: 5 MPR.
The Vinyl Disc comes in it’s ORIGINAL matt black die cut centre record bag, which is in Excellent condition, no seam splits just light creasing, and a couple of small tears to the opening edge, the original price of 39/11 is hand written at the top left corner of the inner sleeve.
The album is housed in its ORIGINAL and FULLY LAMINATED, Garrod & Lofthouse Picture sleeve featuring the correct ALIGNED Apple logo to the reverse of the sleeve.
The Glossy FIRST ISSUE Fully Laminated aligned Apple Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve is in beautiful and superb undamagedMint Minus condition, the front and back laminate show a very high gloss shine, and the colours have remained bright, with a mild sign of record storage to the front panel, all edges, and spine are undamaged.
Play Quality:
As expected the album plays extremely well through all the tracks without any skips or clicks, a really strong and powerful Stereo sound quality.
This is a beautiful example of this Collectable, ORIGINAL UK Beatles **FIRST ISSUE**Album with the correct aligned Apple Logo on the reverse of the sleeve, and the rare Her Majesty Song Credit on the side 2 record label, this is a really superb example.
