Description
This is a rare Beatles 'collector's' album. I bought this genuine vintage pressing of THE BEATLES - BACK IN 1964 AT THE HOLLYWOOD BOWL via mail order back in the day. This is a LLive 5 pressing apparently. The cover says VNb/1Tb. In the deadwax on Side A (VN 1032B) and B (4178B IT 1038). It has dinosaurs on the dark red labels.
I am the original owner and have played it maybe three times (once to grade it the other day).
I have stored it in a plastic sleeve since I got it. Buying albums like this back in the day was a tricky thing and they were rarely sealed. Check the many photos.
I use GOLDMINE grading standards:
DISC - Looks NM but, on Side 2 there is a spot in the intro of Twist and Shout (the 'aaahh's) where it skips on my linear-tracking turntable. How much do you deduct for a skip on an otherwise really nice disc? (make it VG?). I can see where it is, but can't manually adjust the tone arm, etc. on this type of turntable. I didn't want to make things worse by keeping on trying to make it stop skipping.
My wife's old turntable (which I play old LP's on to sometimes clean the grooves) is not hooked up to a receiver since it runs slow and noisy. You can barely make out the sounds as it plays and it does sometimes help cure problems. It is a normal old turntable. I could not tell if it was skipping on it and could lightly touch the tone arm while it was at that spot. Otherwise it plays nicely. At least I am PLAYING them to grade them and not just eyeballing 'em. The labels have William Stout art.

It was hard to get any boot LP's through the mail back in the 70's, etc. with NO mail damage. Even if I ordered multiple ones at the same time. And there was no returning unless the record was broken in transit or something was horribly wrong.
I am pretty obsessive, so I may point out more than I should for my own good, but it's my nature. Check my Feedback. Multiple wins can save on shipping! I have learned they don't credit back their fee if I end up partially refunding some of the shipping.
LP's are removed from their outer sleeve to help protect against edgewear and sent in plastic protective sleeve.
