Dies war die erste Beatles-LP, die in Brasilien veröffentlicht wurde, im März 1964. Obwohl das Cover dem von With The Beatles sehr ähnlich ist, handelt es sich um ein völlig anderes Album - es sind 9 Stücke von With The Beatles drauf, zusammen mit der neuesten Single I Want To Hold Your Hand / She Loves You und einem Stück von Please Please Me (I Saw Her Standing There). Die Rückseite ist auch anders, hat einen Druckfehler (All I've Gote Do) und der Text, der Tony Barrow zugeschrieben wird und auf den ersten Blick eine portugiesische Übersetzung von Tony Barrow's Text der UK-Ausgabe zu sein scheint, ist stark gekürzt und der veränderten Titelliste angepasst.

Sehr bizarr an dieser Pressung ist, daß alle Lieder außer den jeweils ersten beider Seiten viel zu schnell laufen (etwa einen Halbton höher), was die Aufnahme fast wie Alvin & The Chipmunks klingen lässt! Ich konnte über diese Besonderheit nirgendwo irgendwelche Informationen finden, bin deshalb wirklich nicht sicher, ob das nur bei genau dieser Pressung der Fall ist! Informationen darüber sind willkommen!
Außerdem fehlt der erste Trommelschlag von She Loves You.

Matrix-Nummern sind BRXLD-11065-F / BRXLD-11066-H

Die Hülle ist sehr schön erhalten (s. Photos), die LP hat ein paar oberflächliche Wischer und ist am Label abgenutzt, läuft aber völlig ohne Knistern durch.

(Merke: der blaue Punkt auf den Labels ist kein Sticker, sondern Teil des Label-Designs!)


This was the first Beatles LP issued in Brazil, in March 1964. Though the cover is very similar to With The Beatles, it's an entirely different album - there's 9 songs from With The Beatles, along with the latest single I Want To Hold Your Hand / She Loves You and one song from Please Please Me (I Saw Her Standing There). The back cover is also completey different and has a typo (All I've Gote Do). The liner notes are credited to Tony Barrow and appear to be just a portugese translation of Tony Barrow's text which was printed on the UK issue, but have been heavily shortened and adjusted to fit the modified tracklist.

Very bizarre about this pressing is that all songs except for the first one on each side are pitched way too high (about half a note), making it sound almost like Alvin And The Chipmunks! I couldn't find any info about this peculiarity so I'm really not sure if this is only the case with this particular pressing! Any info is welcome!
Apart from that, the first drum beat of She Loves You is missing.

Sleeve is very nice, a bit dirty on the back (see photos), the LP has some wear on the labels and has a few light surface marks but plays excellent without any surface noise.
