Description
This is the original first pressing of the UK 7" Exteneded Player "The Beatles Hits" by The Beatles on the Parlophone label catalogue number GEP 8880. These original Extended Players are tricky to obtain in decent condition but this one is in a remarkable MINT condition.
Matrix numbers side 1, 7TCE 760-1N, side 2, 7TCE 761-1N. Stampers side 1 @ 9 oclock, K 1, @ 3 oclock R, side 2, @ 9 oclock 1, @ 3 oclock GR.
The labels have "The Parlophone Company" rim and no "Sold In UK text". Side 2 has the embossed M K T tax code. Labels are bright and clear and have no damage of any kind. I can see NO SPINDLE lines on either side.
The vinyl retains a beautiful shine on both sides and there are NO SCRATCHES, NO SCUFFS and NO OTHER SURFACE MARKS.
The outer sleeve is FANTASTIC condition. The laminated front remains beautifully preserved and clean displaying only very minor ring marking. The unlaminated rear of the sleeve is also beautifully white and clean with no writing, stains or other damage. All in all this is probably the best condition you will get.
This is an outstanding item that has survived remarkably well for 53 years. How time flies.
