HOW WE GRADE LP's; learn record jargon. Visit Rainy Day Records (established 1981). Please check out our other items!
WE ALWAYS COMBINE SHIPPING TO SAVE YOU MONEY AND WE ALWAYS SHIP WITH TRACKING. YOUR SATISFACTION IS OUR FIRST PRIORITY!
This is THE BEATLES COLLECTION (BC 13) by JOHN, PAUL, GEORGE & RINGO, a beautiful 14-LP box set manufactured in the UK and released December 2, 1978. It is an original set, not a reproduction or replica edition. This is the real thing!
Contained herein is the official catalog of the Fab Four in stereo with a then new compilation called Rarities which differs from the US version. In addition to the LPs the collection includes all original inner sleeves, the cardboard cutout sheet in Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and the photographs & poster in The White Album (actually titled The Beatles). The photos are the very first printing with glossy face.
The hard shell, flip-top style box is in EX+ condition with minor flaws shown in the pictures above; the box shows an overall and very minor fading as is exhibited in the photos. The jackets are NM to MINT (mostly MINT). We have pictured one of the original Parlophone inner sleeves -- all are in about the same condition, that is, a few wrinkles in the corners but no tears, no fading and none of the other bad things that can happen to paper. We call the inner sleeves about EX+ to NEAR MINT (the one pictured is the worst of the lot). The cutout sheet, photographs and poster are all MINT.
Labels and playing surfaces are solidly MINT. None of the LPs have ever been played. In fact, they were only taken out of the box once -- for me to inspect and photograph. Ebay doesn't offer enough space to do the box set justice with photos so as examples of both Parlophone and Apple labels, we have shot Please Please Me and Abbey Road.
This box set has been well cared for over the years by one owner. A gorgeous piece!
Bidders, please be aware that this original British box set was NEVER SEALED, not by the factory and not by UK distributors anywhere along the line. Be suspicious of any original set advertised as SEALED. Drop me a note if you have questions.
Please Note: FREE SHIPPING TO USA ADDRESSES. NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING ON THIS ITEM.
Lowest opening bid anywhere with NO RESERVE. Good luck Beatles' fans and have fun!
When you buy from a small Mom & Pop business you are not helping a CEO buy a third vacation home, a second yacht or a four hundred million dollar golden parachute. Instead, you’re helping a little girl get dance lessons, a little boy get his team jersey, a Mom put food on the table, a Dad pay a mortgage, or a student pay for college. Our customers are our shareholders; they are the ones we strive to make happy. Thank you for supporting small businesses.
