Description

Here up for sale is this amazing stereo analogue sounding 14 vinyl Lp set of “The Beatles Collection’ BC-13 box set issued in Australia in 1978. Most of the records are in never been played near mint condition. The ‘With The Beatles’ & ‘Beatles For Sale’ with the unique covers are in my opinion the best sounding stereo pressings ever of those two albums. The two LP’s played today on my Thornes td 320 turntable with all the “Rock ‘N’ Roll” punch that is missing from all other pressings from around the world. ‘Sgt. Pepper’ with a -1 -1 in the matrix in the plays fantastic with great sounding bass & a wide stereo soundscape. The ‘Please Please Me’ has a -1 -1 matrix and is mixed with less compression than the UK pressing. The ‘Revolver’ has a -1 -1 matrix, while the ‘Abbey Road’ record has a -3 -2 & ‘Let It Be’ has a -3U -3U matrix. The “A Hard Day’s Night” & “Help” records have a -2 -2 matrix. Notice how the ‘Abbey Road’ cover has the Rare “blood stain”.  The “Rarities” record was mastered in Australia & has true stereo mixes on “She’s A Woman”, “Gibmi Dein Hand” & “This Boy”. The covers are mostly all in great shape with minor stains on the ‘Help’ cover & the ‘White Album’ cover. The ‘Sgt. Pepper’ is not a gatefold. The ‘White Album’ contains the original inserts in great unused shape. The ‘White Album’ is the only pressing that was cut from a USA mother stamper. All the other LP’s were cut from UK metal parts. The outer box is in very good + condition with some aging storage wear & a corner split on the top right corner. This box set will be professionally double boxed for protection through shipment through USPS priority mail. Thanks Frank
