Description
This is the original first pressing of the 7" single "Hey Jude" by The Beatles on the Apple label catalogue number R 5722. These original Apple copies are hard to come by in decent condition and this copy is an OUTSTANDING MINT- Condition. Matrix numbers are: Side 1, 7XCE 21185-1, Side 2, 7XCE 21186-1 Stampers: Side 1, 9 O clock 10, 3 O clock RGD, Side 2, 9 clock PJD 3 O clock G.
The labels have "Apple Records" rim and Sold In UK text".
The vinyl retains a beautiful shine on both sides and there are no needle scratches, no scuffs and not other surface marks. The vinyl appears factory fresh.
Both labels are bright and clear with no writing or other damage.
The record is housed in the original shiny black Apple sleeve that has survived remarkably well. These are usually badly damaged through creasing etc but not this one. It does have some rippling to the top edge, shows some ring wear and scuffing to the edges but is otherwise in outstanding shape.

This is an outstanding item that has survived remarkably well for 48 years. How time flies.
