Description
I understand that first pressings of Stereo recordings are becoming rarer and I think this is a first pressing. I am selling my Beatles LPs which I have owned since I bought them back in the 60’s when I was a fan of the ‘Fab Four’. I bought them as they were released, I’m not sure why I had two versions of this record but I have sold the mono version and this is the Stereo. I am not a professional seller so I will try to describe the record and sleeve accurately to show its condition. This is a Parlophone recording PCS7009 with the yellow/silver label. KT are stamped on the record. Matrix are side one XEX605-2 and side two XEX606-3 It has Doctor Robert on the label and Dr. Robert on the sleeve. The writing on the label is ‘The gramophone co ltd’ ‘Sold in the U.K Subject to resale price conditions. See price lists’ The sleeve is printed by Ernest Day The original white inner paper sleeve says ‘patents applied for’ The condition of the sleeve is very good. It is discoloured a bit by the opening on the front. There is a slight bend on the top right hand corner and some evidence of ring marks where it has been stored. There are a few little wrinkles in the film near the mouth but overall this is a very good cover (I looked after my records) The inner sleeve is in perfect condition. The vinyl plays perfectly. It is shiny and free of lumps, bumps, pits.etc. I haven’t cleaned it as I might damage it. There are a few spindle marks but the label is in excellent condition. I have photographed it carefully so you can see the condition of the labels. I think this is a remarkable record (still one of my favourites) in very good/excellent condition. I will wrap it carefully and post it in the U.K. by Royal Mail Special Delivery at a cost of £9 which is a bit more expensive but it will be handled carefully and insured up to £500.
