Description
This is the original first Stereo pressing of the album "Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band " by The Beatles on the Parlophone label catalogue number PCS 7027. These early Parlophone stereo's are hard to come by in decent condition and this copy is in excellent condition
Matrix numbers are: Side 1, YEX-637-1, Sides 2, YEX 638-1
Stampers: Side 1, 9 O clock 1, 3 O clock GP, Side 2, 9 O clock 2, 3 O clock R
The labels have "The Gramophone Company" rim and "Sold in UK". The labels remain bright and clear with only a couple of light spindle marks, indicating only a few plays from new.
The vinyl retains a beautiful shine on both sides and neither side displays any scratches, scuffs or any other surface marks. The vinyl surfaces gleam, as good as new.
The record is housed in a plastic sleeve as the original sleeve was stained and ripped. The outer fold over gatefold Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve is in great shape with no creasing and very nice corners. The sleeve remains lovely and bright both front and rear. The spine is still visible with album name etc. There is slight air bubble on the front cover.
This really is an outstanding rare item and is in excellent condition
