Description
The Beatles: Help and Rubber Soul UK LP's. Mono 1965
My late mum's records - she wasn't a Beatles fan so they've not seen much play. I don't have a turntable to test them, but visually both albums look in good condition with no obvious scratches. Covers and inner sleeves are pretty worn, please see photos. The Help album is the rarer of the two, with the unusual font used for the band name and differences between the labels on both sides.
Rubber Soul. 2nd Press - Variation B 580-4 'Normal' mix (not the Loud Cut)
Help. Genuine 1st Press - Variation A with Different Font xex 549-2 and 550-2: Variation A. For the first labels used Time New Roman font. Small “The Beatles” band name on both sides of the label. Most curiously on side 1 the “Northern Songs, NCB” credit appears below the band name! The side 2 layout differs from the other TNR variants. It is believed this is the first TNR label that appeared and the side 2 error was soon rectified.
