HELP! (Capitol SMAS-8-2386) Stereo RECORD CLUB ISSUE
Didn't realize I had already graded so many extra copies of Beatles albums. Graded a few more and have taken SOME photos. Enough to start posting vinyl again. I am rather obsessive, so here is my detailed description:
DISC - RECORD CLUB ISSUE (lime green Capitol label) I hear a light tic after the 'James Bond' intro and one tic RIGHT before HELP! kicks in. You can see the angled scratch that is the culprit. Both sides have some mainly superficial marks. The one I point out is deep enough to be heard twice. I have PLAY GRADED it twice (two different turntables). VG/VG+
COVER - Remnant of name on the bottom of the Front Cover. Name upper right on Back Cover. 2-3/8" tape on the middle top edge (back half of gatefold cover). Outer edge corners bent some (moreso on the top) Some fairly tasteful/retrained satin tape repair/reinforcement in the gatefold inner fold. Remnant of name inside between John and Paul. The cover does NOT have the special Record Club numbering. Not all of them did (check Price Guides/Beatle vinyl reference guides). VG-/VG (leaning toward VG)
No inserts, but nice vintage Capitol inner sleeve .
PLAY GRADED - I use GOLDMINE Grading Guidelines and I pack SECURELY!
I have no ultrasonic or fancy cleaner, just manually clean them. You may be able to get better results. If I am the original owner I may have only played them once or twice. NOT the original owner on this one.
