Description
THE BEATLES - 'HELP!'
This lovely 1st MONO pressing dates from August 1965 release on the yellow & black Parlophone label: PMC 1255.
Both labels bear the 'Sold in UK...' text with 'The Gramophone Co...' rims & a 'KT' purchase tax code in the centre of the side 2 label. This early 1st pressing has the 'Lark Mus.' credit, not the corrected 'Lark Music' credit on later pressings. Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed tri-flipback mono cover.
Complete with its original rice-paper lined, 'Use Emitex...' inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: XEX 549-2 & XEX 550-2
Stamper codes: 9/GLG & 1/GPH
CONDITION
Record (EX+): The playing surfaces looks lovely with just a couple of barely visible wispy paper hairlines from the inner-sleeve. The are also a few very small marks to side 2. The labels are in fantastic condition with a few spindle trails to both sides.
Cover (EX++): Always correctly stored in a clean, non-smoking environment, the card still retains its white look throughout. The slightly 'creamy' front panel retains a sparkling, unworn high-gloss laminate. There is one visible thumbnail wrinkle to the opening edge and a crease towards the bottom. The 'pinched' spine is still in fantastic condition. All corners are in magnificent shape and look sharp & unworn. Both opening edges are equally in excellent condition with only the smallest of wear.
Inner (EX): In excellent condition with no tears or seam splits.
