Description
In this auction are TWO ORIGINAL BEATLES CAPITOL PICTURE SLEEVES & TWO ORIGINAL CAPITOL 45 RPM RECORDS. Here are the details about the picture sleeves & records in this auction:
Picture Sleeve & Record #1:
· “HELP!” b/w “I’M DOWN” by The Beatles
· This is Capitol 5476.
· This record was released in July 19, 1965.
· The PICTURE SLEEVE is in STRONG VG CONDITION. It appears that sometime in this sleeve’s past, some previous owner trimmed off the top uneven tab. This primarily keeps me from grading this sleeve higher. There is a tiny “hint” of wear at the lower center on each side. There are some light folds/wrinkles near the top of the sleeve at the opening, but the sleeve is mostly flat. There are 2 small staple holes at the top corner of the sleeve where some record store owner probably stapled the sleeve to keep the vinyl from sliding out when being examined by a customer. A “98” cents original price is stamped on the “S” in “BEATLES” on the A-side of the sleeve. There are NO Seam Splits, NO Writing, and NO Tears on this sleeve.
· The VINYL is in NICE VG CONDITION. The labels are clean with very light wear. The record was pressed at Capitol’s Scranton plant.
· The RECORD is a FIRST PRESSING with publishing credits to Maclen Music, Inc.
Picture Sleeve & Record #2:
· “NOWHERE MAN” b/w “WHAT GOES ON” by The Beatles
· This is Capitol Records 5587.
· This record was issued in 1966.
· The PICTURE SLEEVE is in STRONG VG CONDITION. It appears that sometime in this sleeve’s past, some previous owner trimmed off the top uneven tab. This primarily keeps me from grading this sleeve higher. There is a tiny “hint” of wear just above the Beatles’ images on the lower song title printing on each side. This sleeve is NICE and FLAT. There are NO Seam Splits, NO Writing, and NO Tears on this sleeve.
· The VINYL is in VG CONDITION. The labels are nice and clean. The record was pressed at Capitol’s Scranton plant.
· NOTE: The B-side label of this record credits “Lennon-McCartney-Starkey”. This label replaced the first label that only credited the B-side to “Lennon-McCartney”.
