THE BEATLES - HELP! - PLEASE READ:
This is the very rare first MONO pressing, released August 6, 1965. Matrix XEX 549-2. Super condition EXCEPT for a TEAR on one label (see picture and description below).
VINYL: I have graded this VG+ as there are some light scuffs and a couple of visible hairline scratches. However, these do not affect play and the record plays very well with minimal surface noise.
LABELS: Original super rare 1st pressing labels. Black labels with yellow logo and silver print. “The Gramophone Co. Ltd.” printed at the start perimeter print and “Sold in U.K. subject…” text. KT tax code appears on label. Labels use Sans-Serif font and the * credit indicator for “I Need You” placed to the right of the song title with a space between: I Need You *. Spindle marks around centre holes. Side 1 label in great condition but please note Side 2 label has had a sticker removed at some point which has left a 4cm x 2cm tear towards the top right running across the Parlophone logo (see picture).
SLEEVE: Original Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve in excellent condition with no splits or tears. Spine intact. Very minor creasing to the laminated cover which is still fairly white with minimal yellowing. Owner’s name written in very small letters on reverse, top left corner.
INNER SLEEVE: Original tracing-paper-lined “Use Emitex” die-cut inner sleeve. A few creases but no tears or splits.
Record will be sent via Royal Mail Recorded Delivery in a proper record mailer with stiffeners.
