Description
On offer today, a Very Good PYE contract pressing and factory sample of the 1968 UK 7" single by The Beatles titled: "Hey Jude / Revolution" on the 4-prong PYE centre Apple label. It is in very good condition overall.

Side 1: Track 1: Hey Jude
Side 2: Track 1: Revolution
The record comes housed in its original Apple sleeve in very good condition.
Matrix side 1: 7XCE 21185-1 (KT 13 H) Matrix side 2: 7XCE 21186-1 (KT 13 I)
Side 1 condition: Side 1 plays through very well with no jumps or sticks. There is very little background noise throughout and the production quality is strikingly clear. 8.5 / 10.
The surface has an very good plus shine with a few light surface lines but no heavy marks or heavy scratches. 8/10.
The label on side 1 with a Factory Sample sticker is excellent with very little wear and no fading to the text or background. There is very little evidence of light spider trails. The label does have a small area of light pitting by 'The Beatles' credits. 8.5/10
Side 2 condition:
Side 2 plays through equally well with some evidence of light background noise but the production sounds awesome. There are no sticks and no jumps but there is some background noise throughout. 8 / 10
The surface of the record on side 2 is very good with quite a few light hairlines. It does not have any heavy scratches but there are 2 or 3 moderately thin lines on the surface. 7/10.
The label on side 2 is also excellent with very little fading to the text or to the background. There is very little evidence of light spider trails around the centre hole and no noticeable fading. The label does have a small area of light pitting at the top. 8.5/10
The Apple company sleeve is in very good condition with no splits. There is a bit of light creasing on the front and rear, and the print is very good plus with very little fading. There is a little wear to one window. 7/10
