THE BEATLES - 'I WANT TO HOLD YOUR HAND'/THIS BOY'
In 1963, for some unknown reason, EMI sent a true stereo mix of 'I Want To Hold Your Hand' & 'This Boy' to Australia.
This is a DIFFERENT and true stereo mix which features the vocals in the right channel and and lead guitar centered.
The more common 1966 stereo mix (used in '1962-1966' etc.) has the vocals centered & lead guitar right.
Also, unlike versions of this mix on LP which has a 'drag' on the first chord due to it being sloppily dubbed from an existing 45, the version on this 45 starts cleanly.
This 1970's Australian pressed 45 with the above 1963 true stereo mix on both sides, is on the black & silver Parlophone label: A 8103
Matrices: 7XCE 17559 A 8103A & 7XCE 17560-3
Housed in its original blue & black EMI Australia cover.
