Description

Box itself is unsealed, but all of the records and the hardback book are still in sealed condition. Everything - box, records and book - are in as-new condition.
Manufactured on 180-gram, audiophile quality vinyl with replicated artwork, the 14 albums return to their original glory with details including the poster in The Beatles (The White Album), the Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Heart Club Band’s cut-outs, and special inner bags for some of the titles. Each album is accompanied by a 252-page hardbound book.

The book, exclusive to the boxed edition, is authored by award-winning radio producer Kevin Howlett and features a dedicated chapter for each of the albums, as well as insight into the creation of the remasters and how the vinyl albums were prepared. The 12”x12” book showcases a wealth of photographs spanning The Beatles’ recording career, including many images which were not included in the 2009 remastered CD booklets.

The titles include The Beatles’ 12 original UK albums, first released between 1963 and 1970, the US-originated Magical Mystery Tour, now part of the group’s core catalogue, andPast Masters, Volumes One & Two, featuring non-album A-sides and B-sides, EP tracks and rarities.

Bought this in December 2012. I believe there were some issues at the time of this set's initial release (September/October, I think) with some of the records in some sets suffering warpage. As all of the records here are still sealed, I cannot say that this has not occurred here, equally I cannot say it has. If it has, I will accept a return, but the buyer will be liable for the cost of shipping the set back to me and as the records will no longer be sealed (and therefore not in the state they were originally sold in) I will only issue a partial refund of 75%.
