Original Version 1 copy of The Beatles’ album “Introducing the Beatles” released by Vee-Jay Records on January 10, 1964 with a blank white paste over slick, known among the collectors as the "Blank Back" cover, which most likely, was the result of a production error. It's certain that the blank back was used as a limited transitional run after all Ad Back slicks had been used. This cover variation contains the “Printed in U.S.A.” vertical text at the bottom left corner on the front which is extremely rare as the majority of “Blank Back” covers don’t have it. The cover still remains the original fully intact factory shrink wrap. Original 1st print Vee-Jay VJLP 1062 catalog number oval VJ logo deep groove 2.75” diameter pressing ring label with a multicolored spectrum (“rainbow”) band along the labels’ edge. The label includes the 1st withdrawn track lineup, featuring "Love Me Do" and "P.S. I Love You". The vinyl of this copy was pressed by the American Record Pressing Co. at their plant in Owosso, Michigan. The 1st pressing matrix numbers in the trail-off vinyl are as follows: Side 1 - 63-3402 A1 AudioMatrix ARP / Side 2 - 63-3403 A1 AudioMatrix ARP. This very early 1st issue comes with the original Vee-Jay Records “Other Fine Albums Of Significant Interest" white background inner sleeve featuring 25 color photos of other Vee-Jay releases on each side.
★
The cover remaining in the fully intact original factory shrink wrap is in stunning Near Mint condition and represents one of the best examples of this issue we’ve come across with in a long time. The vinyl is graded as Strong Very Good Plus. It has a beautiful shiny factory lacquer only having some very light non-feelable surface hairlines and marks as well as scuffs from the original inner sleeve which is in Near Mint condition and doesn’t have any splits or tears. The very clean glossy labels are in Near Mint Minus condition, wear- and scuff-free, with just a couple of super light and barely visible spindle marks on Side 2 with the Side 1 label being completely clean. The vinyl sounds excellent having a warm and soft Mono sound.
