Description
This is a very rare, unofficial Iranian 7" double EP record by The Beatles. The title of the double EP is "Back In The USSR".
This is a must-have for any serious collector of rock music - especially those with a keen eye for rarity and investment potential. With a speed of 45 RPM and a black vinyl material, this double EP features a compilation of almost a third of the songs on the "The Beatles" - or as it's often referred to, "The White Album".
The record grading is Very Good/VG+ It sounds pretty good with zero skips or stoppages, there's a couple crackles - But the song "Julia" begins quietly and has less quality of sound than the other 7 tracks.
The labels are VG-. There are some finger print smears (one label predominantly), a small white colored spot, and J Voice written in small lettering on all of the labels. All imperfections are shown in in the photo section.
The sleeve grading is Very Good minus (VG-) Please see the images for all imperfections. There are minor splits at the beginning top edge of the sleeve opening - neither are more than an inch - but there is, as seen in the photos, both handling/storage related wear/a pink smear/coloring of some sort as seen above John & Paul's images, and the writing of "Julia Voice 17 on the A side of the Sleeve. Perhaps the original owner liked his vocal on that track or was alluding to the lesser sound quality of that particular song. Maybe John's voice was #17 in their favorite voice liking list😆!
The inlay photo spread is also VG- with bends, wrinkles & creases and some white spots on George's image.
I am extremely strict on grading records - I look crave perfection in a record; and when perfection is far from the case, I am honest in my opinion on the grading of all records.
One must always remember that these records I am offering for purchase - Thailand, Malaysian, Iranian - are subject to all kinds of weather and/or political upheaval related damage in almost all cases - not to mention the fact that most, if not all, are well over 50 years old and were not produced in the same numbers or quality that official releases were.
They were often only produced in well under a thousand copies, and the weather conditions these records were/are subject to in Southeast Asia & the political upheaval in Iran during the 1970's (when all western music was outlawed & one faced persecution for possessing any such records) would boggle the mind of those here in The USA/Europe, etc.
The release year is supposedly 1968, but may have not been pressed until 1969 being that the White Album was officially released in late 1968 (I don't believe that there is any official log or definite "knowing" of the year that these EPs were actually produced & released - it is all conjecture and assumptions in my honest opinion).
The catalogue number is Top 4 #EX-4235. This first edition is a true rarity! This EP is a true gem for all who understand the rarity of these EPs & their investment potential. The record size is 7" and plays at 45 rpms. The EP is written in English language and was manufactured in Iran.
