This First Issue Let It Be Album is from the collection of Norman 'Hurricane' Smith. Norman Smith began working at Abbey Road Studio’s in 1959 as an apprentice for EMI. George Martin used him for The Beatles Recording Sessions, including their very first ever EMI Recording stint, and he continued as their Recording Engineer right through to the Rubber Soul sessions in December 1965.

Item Description/Condition:

A great example of The Beatles FIRST ISSUE UK Apple Vinyl Factory Sample LP, 'Let It Be', released by EMI/Apple records on 8th May1970 on the Custom DARK GREEN APPLE label, with 'Apple Records' label rim , 'Mfd in UK' label text. The ORIGINAL FIRST ISSUE Garrod & Lofthouse fully laminated sleeve features the first issue **RED APPLE** logo to the reverse of the sleeve.

Both Record Labels are in very nice Excellent Plus condition, an undamaged, unfaded set of record labels, with nothing more than a few faint centre spindle lines to both record labels, and the official Factory Sample Sticker is on the side 2 record label.

Both sides of the heavyweight Vinyl Disc are in Excellent Plus condition, bright unworn, Vinyl surfaces, showing nothing more than a few light surface hairlines, there are no deep scratches or scuffs.

The Official stamped matrices are: Side 1 Matrix YEX 773-2U, and Side 2 Matrix YEX 774-2U.
Side 1 stampers: 18 OD, and Side 2 stampers: 5 OH.

The Vinyl Disc comes in it’s original Made in England record bag, which is in Very Good condition, no seam splits just light creasing, and age toning.

The album is housed in its ORIGINAL and FULLY LAMINATED, Garrod & Lofthouse Picture sleeve featuring the first issue, Red Apple logo to the reverse of the sleeve.

The Glossy first issue Fully Laminated Apple, Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve is in Excellent to Excellent Plus condition, the front and back of the sleeve are glossy with only mild record indentation, the edges and corners of this sleeve are in superb condition, the spine edge print is clearly ledgable.

Play Quality:

The album plays great through all the tracks without any skips or clicks, a really strong and powerful Stereo sound quality, with just light background crackle.

A very nice example of this final UK Beatles Album, and this Let It Be Album was previously owned by someone who was very involved with The Beatles Recording Sessions. This UK FIRST ISSUE Factory Sample Album is Gauranteed 100% genuine.
