Item Description/Condition:
A respectable example of The Beatles FIRST ISSUE UK Apple Vinyl LP, 'LET IT BE', released by EMI/Apple records on 8th May1970 on the Custom DARK GREEN APPLE label, with 'Apple Records' label rim , 'Mfd in UK' label text. The ORIGINAL FIRST ISSUE Garrod & Lofthouse fully laminated sleeve features the RARE, RED APPLE logo to the reverse. These red Apple logo sleeves were originally issued with 1970 PXS1, Let it Be box set.
Both sides of the Record Labels are in very nice Excellent Plus condition, an undamaged, unfaded set of record labels, with no more than a faint centre spindle lines to both record labels.
Both sides of the heavyweight Vinyl Disc are in Excellent Minus condition, bright and clean vinyl surfaces, showing several light surface hairline scratches on both sides, there are no deep scratches or scuffs.
The Official stamped matrices are: Side 1 Matrix YEX 773-2U, and Side 2 Matrix YEX 774-2U.
Side 1 stampers: 2 OH, and Side 2 stampers: 2 AT.
The Vinyl Disc comes in Made in England record bag, which is in Very Good condition, with seam splits and light creasing, and age toning.
The album is housed in its ORIGINAL and FULLY LAMINATED, Garrod & Lofthouse Picture sleeve featuring the RARE, Red Apple logo to the reverse.
The Glossy FIRST ISSUE Fully Laminated Apple Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve is in Excellent Minus condition, the front and back of the sleeve are glossy with light record indentation, there are bumps to each corner, and small nic to the opening edge, (see scan) the spine edge print is clearly legible.
Play Quality:
The album plays well through all the tracks without any skips or clicks, a really strong and powerful Stereo sound quality, with just light background crackle.
Overall a respectable example of this Collectable, ORIGINAL UK Beatles **FIRST ISSUE**Album with the rare **RED** Apple Logo on the reverse of the sleeve.
