Description

The Beatles “LOVE ME DO” with Ringo on drums.

The 1962 original first pressing on the red Parlophone label.

With correct numbers in the run out grooves of 7XCE 17144 IN and PZT and GA

Also the rare raised early copy letters P.T. either side of the spindle hole representing tax code.

Other points of authenticity are NO Made in Great Britain on the left side of the label.

The record has been part of a radio station collection so only played on professional equipment.

CONDITION. Vinyl appearance VERY GOOD PLUS.

REPRODUCTION. Grade EXCELLENT MINUS.

It plays extremely well still with a bright crisp sound with no distortion from over play. Very very minimal background noise hardly any crackle atool but has to be mentioned considering the record is over 50 years old. No bumps or jumps.

The B side P.S. I LOVE YOU plays through perfectly with hardly any background noise.

You are bidding for the original first release of LOVE ME DO with Ringo on drums. The way to tell the difference between the original single and the later version with Andy White is simple. On the original version with Ringo there is NO tambourine on the record. When Andy White did his session Ringo was relegated to playing tambourine on the recording. Another way to pin point the original first pressing release is listen to Paul voice. He was dropped in the deep end to do lead vocals and was so nervous to the point you can hear his voice quiver in places.

MINT....PERFECT RECORD, CLEAN GLOSS, NO MARKS, BEAUTIFUL

IN EVERY WAY. VERY FEW RECORDS WILL MAKE MINT.

EXCELLENT....VERY CLEAN ONLY VERY LIGHT HAIRLINE MARKS. HAS BEEN LOOKED AFTER. AND PLAYS GREAT.

EX- JUST NOT QUITE EXCELLENT MAYBE ONE OR TWO MARKS OR SLIGHT SURFACE NOISE ON INTRO THAT STOP IT BEING EXCELLENT.

OTHERWISE A VERY GOOD RECORD.
