Issue : Canada 1st ‘stereo’ pressing - Capitol label # SMAS 2653
********************************* A quite tidy Canadian ‘stereo’ pressing of “Beatles ‘65” which , like most early American releases, takes a bit of this mixed with a bit of that in terms of the song-list.
In this case we have 8 tracks from the “Beatles For Sale” album plus one of their best double-A sides, ‘I Feel Fine / She's a Woman’. Also included is a first-rate holdover from the UK version of “A Hard Day's Night” in ‘I'll Be Back’ along with two excellent covers sung by John (‘Rock and Roll Music’ and ‘Mister Moonlight’) then we have the Carl Perkins covers by George and Ringo which are a great way to complete the package.
CONDITION : - see 4 photos above
Vinyl - play-tested completely both sides : A top copy. Plays through fantastic both sides with no skips or background noise of any major note. Some light scuffs both sides however it is a nice thick disc and no impedance on sound quality here outside the occasional light pop. Rated better than a VG+ for sure.
Labels : Clean.
Sleeve : a top cover. No writing. No marks. No splits. No ring-wear and probably as good as it gets for this one as it normally seems very prone to age-wear.
