The Beatles "Let It Be" 20th Anniversary Picture Disc (Parlophone) RARE 45 rpm
This 7" picture disc was released on March 5,1990 and was the final disc in a series of 22 picture disc that commemorated the release of certain Beatle singles. Each picture disc in the series was released exactly 20 years after their original release date starting with "Love Me Do" in 1982 and ending with "Let It Be in 1990. An astounding idea that will probably never be duplicated. Imagine waiting 8 years to complete the set! Each picture disc came in a PVC sleeve with insert were appropriate. Putting a set of these picture disc is very challenging, but if you can do it, it would certainly make you the envy of any Beatles collector. Add to the fact that this picture disc has been sealed since the day I purchased it from Middle Earth Records in Downey, California only makes this an even rarer find. 
I have carefully looked at this record and see that there is a tear on one of the two tapes that seal the outer sleeve that the original sleeve was placed inside. However the other tape is still intact (see photos carefully). Not sure what caused this, except to think that this may have always been this way since the day I purchased it. Like any item that has old tape on them, the tape looks discolored and slightly bubbled (see photos carefully). Again this has never been opened and is in the same condition as the day I purchased 31 years ago. So you know, even if one side was open there would not have been enough space to take the picture disc out of the extra protective sleeve the record store put the record in. As the description above says all picture disc came in a PVC sleeve from the manufacture. However, Middle Earth Records put that PVC sleeve inside another plastic sleeve for added protection of the record (see photos). To my knowledge and after researching it appears that none of the disc had their sleeves sealed by the manufacture. Any tape or extra sleeve would have been added by a record store after receiving them. One final note, there may appear to be a small dimple around the eight o'clock position of the picture disc, but this is not the case. The dimple is on the outer most sleeve and NOT on the picture disc.
This record is priced fairly, but I will consider a reasonable offer.
