Description

An original 1st press of LIB on UK Apple. Matrix 2U/2U - the earliest possible iteration for LIB. Stampers 1TT/2LL. Please note earliest 1st press often came with a RED Apple logo on the rear of the cover. They then switched production to a green Apple at 1st issue. Please note On side 1 label the '1' of track one can be found directly below the I&D of 'Side 1'. It sounds crazy - but this is precisely the design layout of the very earliest 1st copies. Well worth going for the early copies as they were pressed heavier. This example weighs in at an incredible 165grams. The vinyl comes housed in an original and early thin spine cover with a white inner from the time too. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In super condition and has only seen the light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of lightest marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are really quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. In my experience LIB is an incredibly fussy record - one of the fussiest by the Beatles.  'Let It Be' and 'Winding Road' are hard to find playing clean even on good looking copies. But this copy is delivering a really clean rendition on these two [unusually so]. All I could detect was a few crackles in a one brief isolated moment per side. Is this an easy find? - hell no! Highly recommended.
Cover (Ex-) In great condition and only exhibiting light surface handling front and rear. Edge wear is minimal and the openings are still firm and sharp. The spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. I think you'll agree a really nice looking example indeed.
Inner (Ex-) Lightest ageing. No splits.
