Description

An original 1st press of LIB on USA Apple from 1970. etchings 'Bell Sound Sf' & "Phil & Ronnie". The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original heavy-card gatefold cover. We also have the original generic white inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Vg+) In very nice condition and has only seen relatively light use. Expect a couple of very superficial scuffs/marks - thankfully nothing that will enter the audio spectrum. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with only minor deviation in a couple of spots. Intros and inbetween are very nice and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. These early US copies sound fab - that heavy pressing is reassuring too. By and large a great player and there's little to complain at. Interference is mostly absent. All I could detect was some light background presence just audible in a couple of tracks on side 2 [i.e. precious little]. And the tricky tracks like 'TLAWR' & 'LIB' play really nice and clean. A couple of minor ticks in 'Two Of Us'. Overall a great little player. Highly recommended.
Cover (Vg+) In lovely condition and looking much smarter than many copies will be looking like by this point in time. Front and rear are flat without creasing and no signs of ageing. A touch of very superficial surface wear in a couple of spots per side. The interior is immaculate - very nice. There's a touch of edge wear in places - it looks like someone has inked some of it in in black. To be fair - they've done a tidy job. There's a 1c.m. split to the seam a the top of the opening. The spine is almost perfect with precious little sign of wear. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity in part thanks to the heavy card employed in manufacture.
Inner (Vg+) A bit aged. No splits though.
